Bharat Financial Inclusion Posts 87% Rise In Q2 Profit

Bharat Financial Inclusion stock settled 0.38% higher on Friday.


New Delhi: Bharat Financial Inclusion, formerly SKS Microfinance, on Friday reported an 87.3 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 145.87 crore for the September quarter.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 77.86 crore for the corresponding three-month period of 2015-16.

Total income of the company increased to Rs 449.60 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016, as against Rs 324.29 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing.

The company issued 9,740,259 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 760 per share aggregating Rs 749.99 crore through a QIP (qualified institutional placement) to qualified institutional buyers during the quarter.

Shares in Bharat Financial Inclusion ended 0.38 per cent higher at Rs 883.10 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished up 0.09 per cent.
