Bajaj Auto sales down 13% in December

Bajaj Auto today reported 12.63 per cent decline in motorcycle sales at 2,60,645 units in December 2013.

The company had sold 2,98,350 units in the corresponding month previous year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

BAL said exports were up 19.63 per cent during the month at 1,50,753 units compared to 1,26,016 units in December 2012.

In the commercial vehicles category, the company said its sales stood at 37,171 units as against 45,596 units in the same month previous year, down 18.47 per cent.

Total vehicle sales of the company last month stood at 2,97,776 units as compared to 3,43,946 units in the same month a year ago, down 13.42 per cent, the statement said.
