AstraZeneca Pharma Posts Loss of Rs 7 Crore in Q2

New Delhi: AstraZeneca Pharma on Friday reported a loss of Rs 6.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015, against that of Rs 27.96 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 128.35 crore for the second quarter, as against Rs 114.55 crore during the same period of the previous financial year, AstraZeneca Pharma said in a filing to the BSE.

The company's board, which met on Friday, accepted the resignation of Rebekah Martin as director effective November 6 and has appointed Claire-Marie O' Grady in place of Ms Martin with immediate effect.

Shares in AstraZeneca, on Friday, ended 0.40 per cent lower at Rs 1,159 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished down 0.15 per cent.
