Joseph Emerson, an off-duty pilot, tried to shut down engines on an Alaska Airlines flight. Emerson was reportedly high on magic mushrooms and sleep-deprived during the incident. The plane made an emergency landing in Portland after Emerson pulled emergency shut-off handles.
