The Supreme Court questioned allowing Governors to withhold assent to bills indefinitely under Article 200 Article 200 replaced a six-week limit with "as soon as possible" for Governors to decide on bills' fate "The word as soon as possible will be rendered otiose if you withhold (assent) for eternity," the CJI said.
