The Triumph Thruxton 400 gets a 398 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. However, it has been retuned to produce 42 hp of power and 37 Nm of peak torque. The power is transferred to the wheels through a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

Engine


Triumph Thruxton 400 features a semi-fairing that stretches from the base of the fuel tank to the headlight, providing a muscular appearance to the motorcycle. At the same time, it has a neo-retro appeal to its design with a round headlamp that includes integrated LED DRLs. Furthermore, the tail lamp design is fresh.

Design


The Triumph Thruxton 400 gets USD telescopic front forks with slightly increased travel compared to the Speed 400, a rear mono-shock, a front and rear disc brake system featuring dual channel ABS, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Hardware


Triumph offers four color options for the Thruxton 400, inclding- Lava Red Gloss and Aluminum Silver; Pearl Metallic White and Storm Grey; Metallic Racing Yellow with Aluminum Silver; and finally Phantom Black with Aluminum Silver.

The Triumph Thruxton 400 has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
