Mahindra has confirmed the date for the world premiere of the XUV7OO. It is christened - Mahindra XUV 7XO, and it will break cover on January 5, 2026. The Mahindra XUV7OO facelift has been a long pending update, which consumers have been awaiting since long. The company has released a teaser video of the upcoming XUV 7XO, and it donns a slew of changes over the existing model.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Design
In terms of design, the video reveals that the Mahindra XUV 7XO will gets new tail lamps and headlamps, much in sync with the design language of the newly-launched XEV 9S. However, unlike the electric avatar, it will come with a fully-functional radiator grille, which will also boast of a certain revision to make the face look fresh. In addition, expect the front bumper to receive a fesh treatment with a new lower air dam. The rear fascia could do with a new bumper with revised rear fog lamps design and scuff plate.

The Mahindra XUV7OO in its current form has managed to to impress buyers with its creases and lines. Therefore, it is highly likely that Mahindra will continue with the same lines - won't be surprised with the ongoing pattern of the flush-type door handles, roof rails, and sheet metal craft. What else could be changed on the exterior front - blacked-out roof, redesigned alloy wheels, and new XUV 7XO badges.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Interior & Features
The cabin of the Mahindra XUV 7XO will fancy a host of changes. In all likelihood, the SUV will come with a triple-screen layout, as seen on the XEV 9E and XEV 9S. In addition, there will be a host of features added to its already beefy list of equipments, namely electric boss mode switches, panoramic sunroof with lighting effect, rear tray tables, driver seat with memory function, updated ADAS suite with parking assistance features and more.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to retain the existing set of powertrain and drivetrain choices from the XUV7OO. The list includes a 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol motor and a 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel. The former develops a peak power output of 200 Hp and 380 Nm of max torque, while the oil burner generates a max power and torque output of 182 Hp and 450 Nm, respectively.

Both of these powerhouse come with two transmission choices - 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. The XUV7OO comes standard with a FWD layout, whereas the oil burner is also available with the option of an AWD layout. And, all of it is expected to be retained on the facelifted model.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Launch Date & Rivals
The automaker has confirmed the global unveil will happen on January 5, 2026, expect the customer deliveries to start within the first quarter of the year 2026 itself. Once launched, it wil go against the likes of the MG Hector, Tata Safari, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Alcazar and more.
