We will leave no stone unturned to ensure BJP's victory: Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Narendra Modi, who has been named the BJP's prime ministerial candidate for 2014 elections, has promised to work hard to ensure BJP's win next year and seeking the blessings of millions of Indians.

Following are the highlights of his speech:

  • For many years in BJP, as a worker and shouldering different responsibilities, the wisdom and strength that God gave me, have utilized that for the development of BJP, and to serve the country, this opportunity has always been provided to me by BJP
  • Today BJP's national leadership has chosen me, a worker who comes from an ordinary family, who hails from a small town, for a very big responsibility
  • Due to sheer hard work of Atalji and Advaniji, this organisation which is like "Vat Vriksha" (banyan tree), and the wishes lakhs of its workers and the blessings of the national leadership, all these will enable BJP in attaining success
  • I express my gratitude with utmost humility and respect to all the workers as well as senior leaders of the party and I assure all the workers and supporters that there will not be any paucity of effort with regards to the BJP attaining success in the 2014 elections
  • I will put in all my efforts to fulfill all the expectations of workers and common people
  • I would also like to seek blessings of crores of people, at a time when the nation is passing through a phase of crisis, then by blessing the BJP party they strengthen our efforts in pulling out the country of this phase
  • I would also like to express my gratitude to mediapersons that they expressed various probabilities related to future of BJP, you have also played a big role in rekindling hope among common people
  • In 2014, country would support (fight against) corruption, inflation, governance and development
