Amritsar:
A 19-member team of Indian students and teachers returned home after a five-day visit to Pakistan where they visited leading schools and tourist sites in Lahore.
Arranged by Indian group Routes 2 Roots along with a Pakistani NGO, the tour is part of an ongoing programme that involves exposing young minds in the two countries to each other's societies.
The students and teachers, drawn from Mumbai and New Delhi, crossed back into India by foot from the Wagah border and reached Amritsar, a team member said.
The three schools from Delhi which contributed to the visit are Sanskriti School, St Paul's School and B.R. Mehta School.
In Lahore, the Indian students from Class 8 and 9 and teachers interacted with their counterparts of City School and two branches of ILM School.
The Indians also visited Lahore Museum, Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, Minar-i-Pakistan, Jahangir's Tomb and a gurudwara.
