Army Cantonment Board Website Hacked In Ahmedabad

Army Cantonment Board officials submitted a complaint about hacking to police in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad: An unidentified person hacked the website of the Army Cantonment Board in Ahmedabad, the Board officials have said.

The officials submitted a complaint about hacking to the Shahibaug police station in Ahmedabad a few days ago.

"This is not an Army website as it contains some general information about the functioning of the Board. Our investigation is on," said inspector K K Desai.

As per the Directorate General Defence Estates, around 15,000 persons live in the Cantonment, situated in the Shahibaug area in eastern part of city.

It serves as a military base and a residential establishment with its own infrastructure of water supply, roads, building and sewerage system.

A statement issued by the Defence PRO said the website of Cantonment Board does not contain any classified data.'

"Technical investigation is in progress. This website is used primarily to send out public notices (for residents) and tender information. It contains no classified data whatsoever," said the statement.
