A US police officer throwing peanuts at a man who was under arrest was filmed by security cameras and has provoked an investigation in Florida, according to local media reports.
The video was made public on Monday. The man who opens his mouth was commanded to catch the peanuts by the police officer while other cops watched,
according to NBC news.
He was "seated and handcuffed, and opens his mouth like a circus animal", the channel's website says, adding the video was obtained through a public records request. The homeless man later "slumps to the floor and eats the peanuts off the floor" according to NBC news.
