Up to 10 people were killed when a suicide bomber struck outside a police base in central Kabul today, the deputy interior minister said on Twitter.
"Ten people were reported killed and 20 others were wounded in a suicide attack in Deh Mazang square of Kabul city," Mohammad Ayoub Salangi tweeted.
A Kabul police spokesman gave a lower death toll of nine.
