COCOA, Florida: A 23-month-old girl managed to stay afloat in an air pocket until rescue crews found her under a boat that overturned on the Indian River in central Florida.

The Cocoa Police Department said in a news release authorities received multiple 911 calls on Friday night following a boat crash. Four officers jumped in the water and started searching for victims.

A civilian in a nearby boat also helped search the water for victims.
