Roll Royce marks 100 years of The Spirit of Ecstasy

London: Rolls Royce Motor Cars held a celebratory drive through the streets of central London on Sunday. The iconic cars were driven past the city's historic landmarks, including The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

The drive was held to mark the 100th anniversary of the creation of The Spirit of Ecstasy, the mascot which appears on the front of all Rolls-Royce cars.

According to Rolls-Royce, The Spirit of Ecstasy, otherwise known as The Flying Lady, has appeared at the forefront of Rolls-Royce motor cars since 1911.

It was designed by Charles Sykes and was first trademarked on February 6, 1911.
