Egyptian military closes pyramids after riots
Cairo: The Egyptian military has closed tourist access to the pyramids after a day of anti-government riots in the capital and other cities around the country.

Tanks and armoured personnel carriers have sealed off the site on the Giza Plateau, which is normally packed with tourists.

Hundreds of anti-government protesters returned to the battered streets of central Cairo on Saturday, shouting for Hosni Mubarak to step down and attacking police even as the Cabinet resigned on the orders of the Egyptian president.

The protesters are calling on Mubarak to resign, too.
