Clamour for vaccine between EU countries

Paris:

The number of reported cases in France may have gone up considerably since the first outbreak of the swine flu. But in most cases it was benign. Only one death has been reported so far that may have been related to the virus. Even then France already has a vaccination plan in place as numbers are expected to go up.

In the meantime public health service messages have been urging apple to take basic hygienic measure to prevent the spread of the virus. People will not be asked to go to their general physicians for all treatment and care and only very serious cases will be admitted to hospitals.

Says French Health Minister Roselyn Bachelot: "We want to now move on to general physicians treating patients as the virus is now in active circulation."

With the reopening of schools next months, the number of cases may increase in a big way all across Europe. And the debate as to whether too much or too little is being done to curb the spread of the swine flu is raging on.
