London: Bridegroom-to-be Prince William was seen riding home on a 1,100cc Ducati sports bike after playing football with a few friends at a park.

The 28-year-old William, wearing a pair of England shorts, laughed and joked with his friends during a game of five-a-side, The Sun reported.

"William seemed in good spirits. He was very competitive and, if he has any last-minute nerves, he wasn't showing them," an onlooker said.

As the game ended, William's friends had a bit of gentle fun at his expense. They surrounded him, gave a few friendly shoulder barges and bounced the ball off his head.

Later, the prince drove home on his Ducati motorbike. He was still wearing his soccer boots and tracksuit as he drove to Clarence House.

Photographs showed him wearing a full-face helmet with tinted visor.

He and Kate, 29, later rehearsed together for the first time at Westminster Abbey, The Sun reported.

They reportedly slipped inside through a side entrance unseen by the crowd gathered outside.

The rehearsal was conducted by the Very Rev John Hall, the dean of Westminster, who will also conduct the actual ceremony.

William and best man Prince Harry, 26, were dressed in dark suits without ties. Kate wore a jacket and a skirt.

Kate's parents, Michael and Carole, also took part in the rehearsal with their other daughter Pippa, the maid of honour, and son James.

They rehearsed for one-and-a-half-hours at the abbey before leaving.
