Reactions to Rahul Gandhi's bombshell on ordinance

It is a desperate damage control exercise. It's only when the revulsion is built, the Congress party is trying to cut its losses. Belated realisation of what the Congress party now calls non-sense. The heads which brought out this non-sense twice in the last one month must roll. It is a charade to show the government can make a mistake, but the Congress's first family doesn't.

Is this a government or a theatrical production? With such drama, the Congress will not be able to hide the government's failures.

It's a political stunt, the timing is questionable. The President was probably returning the ordinance, so someone had to take the credit, and it was him.

Rahul Gandhi has written to me on the ordinance beside making a statement...Issues raised by him will be considered by the Cabinet on my return to India.

Rahul Gandhi has taken this step on high moral and principle ground.

We had expressed our views earlier and whatever Rahul Gandhi has said today, I think, is correct.

This ordinance was to protect a few individuals, morally it was completely wrong. Now Rahul Gandhi is joining the bandwagon against the ordinance - but it doesn't speak very well of the Congress. It shows no coordination between the party and the government.

This is an orchestrated move... it demonstrates confusion within the Congress.

I cannot help but applaud.
