Pushed out of moving train, then raped

February 1, 2011: 23-year-old Soumya was travelling alone in the women's compartment of a train in Kerala. A man pushed her out and then raped her near the railway tracks. She died in hospital a few days later.
Delhi outraged by college girl's shooting
March 8, 2011: Radhika Tanwar, a 20-year-old student, was shot dead in broad daylight outside her college. The police says she was most likely killed by a stalker who was either enrolled at her college, or lived near her.

TV producer killed in car in Delhi
September 30, 2008: Soumya Viswanathan, who worked as a TV producer in Delhi, was found dead in her car. She was driving home alone late at night.
