An unedited version of an interview of the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to public broadcaster Doordarshan has triggered a political storm. In his 54-minute-long interview, the Gujarat chief minister made reference to Ahmed Patel, political secretary to UPA chairperson, as a close friend. Mr Patel has denied the claims. Curiously, DD aired the interview on April 27 editing out these references.
