For the first time in 30 years, there is going to be a new education policy which has been built up as a major collaborative effort by the government. But in recent days, many academics have complained that it is lacking transparency, that it is not involving academics. Chairman of the drafting committee TSR Subramanian said that these fears are baseless but in a first indication of what’s in store, said children should learn more about values.
