Despite Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's assurance, Shiv Sena's threat has won with Pakistan singer Ustad Ghulam Ali's concert in Mumbai being cancelled. On The Buck Stops Here, Ustad Ghulam Ali says he is "not angry but hurt" for "in love, such controversies shouldn't happen; they spoil people's sur". Calling music "Allah, God, Bhagwan", he said, "I have always got lot of love in India" and that this concert was going to be "a tribute to Jagjit Singh who was like a brother to me".

As netas keep adding fuel to the Dadri fire, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi tells NDTV that politicians like Sangeet Som and Sakshi Maharaj have been given very tough reprimand by the party. On Shiv Sena objecting to Ghulam Ali's concert, he says, "what the Sena is doing against Ghulam Ali is very wrong. Ghulam Ali is above all borders, he's a messenger of peace."
