Vrindavan widows should not beg - Hema Malini to NDTV

BJP MP from Mathura Hema Malini speaks to NDTV on her controversial statement that widows of Vrindavan are overcrowding the city. In an exclusive interview she asks, "Why do many of the widows who are well off and living comfortably still beg on streets?" She tells NDTV, Vrindavan widows should be counselled not to beg and rehabilitated so that they can live and die with dignity. She also says that the governments of Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal, from where most of the widows come, can also take care of them instead of throwing them out.
