'Nitish Kumar, Bihar is much bigger than your ego': Ravi Shankar Prasad

It's an all-out war between Nitish Kumar and PM Narendra Modi in Bihar. The chief minister, in an open letter, has asked Mr Modi to withdraw his DNA barb. Speaking to NDTV, Communications and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who also hails from Bihar, accused Nitish Kumar of arrogance. "Sorry, Nitish Kumar Bihar is much bigger than your arrogance and ego," he said. He took on the Gandhis over Congress's continued protests and disruptions in Parliament saying, "Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are yet to reconcile to the fact that Narendra Modi is Prime Minister of India." On the issue of Sushma Swaraj's clarification today in the Lok Sabha on Lalit Modi issue, he asked, "convicted accused in criminal cases, who have been given 20 years or 30 years of life imprisonment, are permitted parole or not to attend to family functions, to attend last rites? What's a big deal about it? It was purely a humanitarian issue."
