The Home Ministry told Parliament today that it doesn't know where Dawood Ibrahim is. The reply created a huge controversy and forced Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju to issue a clarification saying India is clear that Dawood is in Pakistan. But, interestingly, the UPA government too, in 2013, gave the same reply in Parliament. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: has the government given up on hope of getting Dawood back to India? Has their reply weakened India's case against Pakistan? And is the Congress being hypocritical by attacking the government over this issue? Former home secretary GK Pillai tells NDTV, "Dawood continues to be under the protection of the ISI. I don't believe that we will ever get him back unless there is a complete radical change in Pakistan. And if you really want to get him you would have to look at, perhaps, a drone attack at his house in Karachi or something like that."
