Senior Supreme Court lawyer Rajeev Dhavan, who was member of Supreme Court panel on Patiala House court violence, said that the goons acted in "collusion" with the police and that "politics and police have given a layer of immunity" to those hooligans. Calling Kanhaiya Kumar "innocent", he said that the Delhi police commissioner "does not know the offence of sedition". He said that the Delhi Police "connived" with the BJP and the ABVP to arrest Mr Kumar.
