More than 100 days have passed since Narendra Modi's ascension as India's Prime Minister. Now the electoral battles have shifted to the states and, buoyed by its resounding success at the Lok Sabha election, the BJP has decided to go alone in both the states of Maharashtra and Haryana. The exit poll results are vindicating BJP's 'go alone' policy. However, the divorce with its oldest ally - the Shiv Sena - was really bitter, with the Sena supremo hurling not so subtle comments at PM Modi in the party mouthpiece. Does that mean if there is a fractured mandate, the BJP will find it hard to woo its former ally? What about Haryana? Will the BJP for the first time be the major player in the state? What about the NCP? Will NCP chief Sharad Pawar tie-up with the Sena if there is a fractured mandate or shall we see a new alignment in both the states?
