"We won't leave till Jallikattu is back", this is the sentiment that the crowds at Chennai's Marina Beach are echoing. People from all walks of life and across religions have gathered in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu to fight for 'Tamil Pride'. Taking this fight to Delhi is Chief Minister O Panneerselvam who met Prime Minster Narendra Modi today and asked for an ordinance to counter the Jallikattu ban. Prime Minister Modi assured the chief minister that his government will be supportive of the steps taken by the Tamil Nadu government and that while he understands the cultural significance of Jallikattu, the matter is still sub-judice. On Agenda today, Uma Sudhir brings us reports from Marina Beach in Chennai and talks to protesters about their demands.
