Wechat, a free, downloadable Chinese app, has been decrypted and has thrown up some very uncomfortable scenarios - that compromises users' privacy down to every last piece of information stored on all phones which have it. We discuss if mobile phone apps which lure you with 'free' connectivity are really ending up costing you your freedom itself.
