Karnataka will have to wait for a month to know the results of Thursday's voting. But it is largely expected that the Congress and the BJP will divide most of the state between them. And this contest is encapsulated by the stand-off in Bangalore South between the Congress's technocrat billionaire, Nandan Nilekani and the BJP's five-time sitting MP, Ananth Kumar.
