Speaking at the NDTV - United Spirits Road To Safety Conclave, organised during the Road Safety Week, the Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari spoke on a wide-ranging topics grappling India's roads. Right from 30% of the licences being bogus to the need for technology to improve implementation of safety measures - Mr Gadkari also assured that the government is keen to get the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill passed at the earliest. As a part of the Road Safety Conclave, NDTV's Vikram Chandra also hosted a panel discussion with an aim to address the issue of road safety. Voicing their views on the panel were many prominent personalities and experts like Gul Panag, Actor and Entrepreneur; Dr Vikram Singh, IPS, Former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh; Dr Amit Gupta, Professor of Trauma Surgery and Critical Care, AIIMS Trauma Center; Harman Sidhu, Founder of ArriveSAFE NGO and Navdeep Singh Mehram, Head, Sustainability Of United Spirits Limited.
