Will Rushdie's video link at Jaipur LitFest face a blackout?

On the fifth and final day of the Jaipur Literary Festival, the focus remains, as it did in the weeks before the event, on whether writer Salman Rushdie will participate, this time via a video link scheduled for 3.45 pm. The organizers of the event say the Rajasthan Police has asked them for details about Mr Rushdie's scheduled interaction with the audience. Sanjoy Roy, the main organizer, has also been named in complaints filed in different courts along with four writers who read excerpts over the weekend from Mr Rushdie's banned book, The Satanic Verses. Four cases have been filed in different Jaipur courts; there are reports of others in cities like Hyderabad.
