In a thick forest in the Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh, where the rain was coming down, the lawyers saw a man trying to feed a little baby. Nearby, lay a dead woman. On Saturday evening, Ram Singh Lodhi, in his mid 30s had been traveling with his wife Malli Bai and their five-day-old daughter and mother Suniya Bai to hospital on a privately-run bus. Mr Singh's wife was unwell.
