About 150 women protesters blocked Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's convoy in his parliamentary constituency Amethi today, surrounding his car and shouting slogans demanding a hike in pay. The women, aanganwadi workers, said they wanted to meet Mr Gandhi and convey their demand. Rahul Gandhi is one of the most protested politicians in the country and the protesters were swiftly removed by police personnel, allowing the convoy to move ahead.
