Venture capitalists and Indian entrepreneurs are making the best of the summer holidays by joining hands for online travel portals. Venture capital companies like Gabriel Venture partners, a Silicon Valley-based fund, recently invested a few million dollars in makemytrip.com - a travel portal focussed on inbound tourists from the US - a market valued at over Rs 2,000 crore. Gabriel has already invested in companies like IL&FS Investsmart.
