The SBI earnings numbers are always closely watched by Dalal Street. Pratip Chaudhuri, chairman of SBI, speaks to us and lays down his view about asset quality. He says that while there are pressure points with regard to the SME and the micro-corporate segments, the agriculture segment will start to show improvement soon. Slippages are hard to predict but the rate of restructurings will remain the same for the rest of the year, he adds.
