Emmy winning documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has become the first Pakistani to win an Oscar in the event's 84-year history. Saving Face, co-directed by Sharmeen and Daniel Junge, has received the prestigious Academy Award in the Best Documentary (Short) category.
