It may take years to rebuild the roads in the devastated parts of Uttarakhand. Roads are the lifeline of the state, built painfully over decades. As this disaster has shown when these roads collapse, all of Uttarakhand collapses. One of the agencies responsible for constructing roads here is the Border Roads Organisation, an organisation which has suffered immensely in these floods. We bring you this story of the people who actually build the roads in Uttarakhand - labourers from Nepal and parts of India, many of whom have lost everything to the floods.
