Priyanka Chopra was approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali to play Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani, a role which the actress had signed up for when the casting for the leading lady was still being decided. But now that Deepika has reportedly been confirmed to play the main character in the project, Priyanka is reportedly quite angry with this development as the actress does not wish to play second lead to a junior actor and even though her role in the film is integral to the plot as she plays Kashibai, the first wife of Bajirao in the period drama, it is nevertheless a character less prominent than Mastani.
