Underscoring the importance of India-Japan ties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the Ahmedabad airport today and received his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe with a warm hug. The two leaders are holding a first-of-its-kind roadshow to Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram, for which Mr Abe changed into a blue Indian-style Nehru jacket. Mr Abe -- who is on his fourth visit to India -- and his wife Aki Abe will be in PM Modi's home state for two days.
