A court in Uttar Pradesh has issued arrest warrants for politicians who allegedly provoked the communal riots that killed 50 people and created 40,000 refugees in Muzaffarnagar. Those who face arrest include: Qadir Rana, Jameel Ahmed and Noor Salim Rana of the BSP, the party headed by Mayawati; Saedduzzaman of the Congress; and Sangeet Som of the BJP.
