In India, silence on sexual harassment?

One of the IT's world's biggest names, Phaneesh Murthy, has been sacked as CEO of well-known company iGate for sexual harassment. Mr Murthy says he was in a relationship with an employee, a consensual one, but she used it for extortion. In India it has opened a Pandora's box. Here it is unheard of for such strict action to be taken against a boss of a company based on charges like this. In fact when we checked in Bangalore the labour department did not have even one case of sexual harassment registered with them.
