The DMK is likely to pull out its ministers from the government, with the trio of P Chidambaram, AK Antony and Ghulam Nabi Azad failing to convince DMK Chief M Karunanidhi. The DMK wants the government to not just vote against Sri Lanka in a US-sponsored resolution on its human rights in Geneva, but add amendments calling it genocide. This after a day of protests in Chennai by students, including from IIT Madras.
