At 9,000 feet in the Uri sector of Kashmir, the terrain is extremely harsh in places - there has been more than 15 feet of snowfall - snowfall that puts an incredible burden on the fence that defends India from infiltrators coming across from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. But parts of the fence have collapsed - it's not uncommon during the winter months - though it remains a big worry.
