A large number of Muslim families in rural Gujarat lost their space in the village economy after the 2002 riots. In Ajanwa village of Panchmahal district where 11 women and children were killed, Muslim farmers have had to make compromises with their neighbours to survive. But despite these compromises, no one speaks to them because they had testified against their attackers.
