Govt to make State Bank scrips attractive

The government is reportedly keen on higher turnover of shares in State Bank affiliates. According to reports, a bill in the current session of Parliament will make things clear. The new law will authorise these banks to cut the face value of their shares to less than Rs 100. The SBI wants the face value of the shares to be brought down to Rs 10.
