As soon as he heard that the government had allowed farmers to buy seeds with old Rs. 500 notes, 55-year-old Ram Narayan Yadav rushed to the nearest government seed cooperative in his village Achrol, about 40 kilometres from Rajasthan's capital Jaipur.
