BJP leader Sushil Modi, in an interview to NDTV, blames Lalu-Nitish-Congress alliance for "communalising" the election. He said, "It was Lalu who brought the issue of beef in Bihar". On his party going into this election without a chief ministerial candidate, he said, "face is not important, what's important is which alliance is there," and added "Nitish Kumar in alliance with Lalu Prasad and Congress, people will never accept."
