Bang in the middle of the bustle of elections, a new poll panel boss Navin Chawla will take over as Chief Election Commissioner on April 21. The President's House made an announcement in this regard on Wednesday. Chawla's appointment has not been easy. On BJP's complaint, the outgoing CEC N Gopalaswami wanted Chawla sacked for political bias. But refuting the call, the Congress in turn charged Gopalaswami of acting on BJP's behalf.
