Dr Binayak Sen will be awarded the Gandhi International Peace award in London today. The award is being presented to him for his "humanitarian work and practice of non-violence". Dr Sen was granted permission to travel to UK to receive the award. The Raipur district court gave Dr Sen his passport and he will have to surrender it back to the court on his return. He will be presented the special award in a ceremony at the House of Lords in England.
